Conrad Information Board at Canterbury Cemetery – 8 November 2024
The installation of the Conrad Information Board at Canterbury Cemetery, was overseen by Hugh Epstein, Secretary of the Joseph Conrad Society (UK), in assocaition with Jonathon Kreffer, the Registrar of the cemetery.

Joseph Conrad 1924 – 2024 – 3rd of August 2024
The Joseph Conrad Society (UK) commemorated the centennial anniversary of Conrad’s death at the recently renovated Conrad family grave in Canterbury Cemetery, and at Conrad’s final home, Oswalds, in Bishopsbourne, Canterbury.

A free exhibition about the lives and works of Joseph Conrad, Christopher Marlowe, and Aphra Behn. Explore their connections to Canterbury and the very different worlds in which they lived, through objects and immersive activities (including the chance to dress-up as an Elizabethan actor and use a typewriter from Conrad’s time).
The exhibition’s collection includes historic items, and belongings from the personal collection of Joseph Conrad.
